I am extremely excited about the new line of wedding programs that I have been uploading to our ETSY shop. I started noticing some wedding trends in early January of this year. State pride seemed to be among one of the most popular, and it appeared that the state was being represented in multiple details. Every example showed a printed silhouette of a state (or states) on invitations, programs, napkins, cups, and game boards. I did a little research to see if anyone was offering a die-cut of state shapes for wedding invitations or programs. I was able to find items like necklaces, cutting boards, etc…..but never wedding paper favors. I immediately got to work on this idea – in hopes that another creative individual did not beat me to it. Since I am from Georgia and it just so happens to be a great shape for a wedding program, I started with it.
I originally created the program with a dark solid background. It was not gaining as much popularity as I thought it should, so I decided to implement another trend into this wedding program. WATERCOLOR! I created a custom watercolor background that can be altered to match any wedding color palette. After doing the small re-design, the program has had a lot of traction and is being re-pinned all over Pinterest. There have also been extremely nice comments on Instagram about the wedding programs as well.
The new Georgia state wedding program looked so pretty, I looked right next door and decided to create one for those Alabama brides! You can see some of the watercolor brush strokes a little better in this blue and blush color palette.

I wanted to hit my product photography out of the park for these state wedding programs. I just couldn’t reach the level of elegance that I envisioned.
